Training philosophy

At Fitness Consulting Ottawa, training goes far beyond aesthetics. While looking better is a welcome outcome, true fitness is measured by how well your body performs, how resilient your mind becomes, and how confidently you move through life.

My approach is built on six fundamental pillars:

Move Well

Quality movement is the foundation of performance. I prioritize mobility, stability, balance, coordination, and proper mechanics before adding intensity.

Build Strength

Strength is the cornerstone of health and longevity. A stronger body is more resilient, more capable, and better equipped for the demands of everyday life.

Develop Athleticism

Power, speed, agility, reaction time, and endurance aren't just for athletes—they improve everyone's quality of life.

Prevent Injury

Corrective exercise, posture, joint integrity, and muscular balance help reduce pain, improve movement, and keep you training consistently.

Create Sustainable Habits

Real transformation comes from consistency, not perfection. I focus on habits you can maintain for years—not weeks.

Train the Mind

Discipline, confidence, resilience, and self-belief are developed under resistance. Every workout is an opportunity to become mentally stronger and a better version of yourself.

My Mission

To empower people through evidence-based training that develops strength, movement quality, confidence, resilience, and lifelong health—helping every client become the strongest version of themselves, inside and out.

My Core Belief

Fitness isn't about chasing perfection. It's about building a body that's strong enough to perform, resilient enough to last, and healthy enough to enjoy life for decades to come.

Personal training is my craft. I am someone who continually strives to attain knowledge, practical skills and experience that keep me at the cutting edge of the fitness industry. What makes me a great instructor is that I’ve never stopped being a student.

My pedagogy is multidisciplinary. By understanding biomechanics, physiology, exercise psychology, and the importance of concepts such as periodization, rest and recovery, I am able to understand the unique needs of each of my clients and build tailored training programs that help them meet their goals.

I inspire my clients to develop a true love of exercise through enjoyable, safe, and effective training practices. I work with clients from all walks of life, ranging from age 14-84, with a focus on older adults; career professionals who are pressed for time, to retirees who simply want to be stronger and keep up with their grandchildren.

Whether you’re a beginner, seasoned vet, or in between, I will create an exercise program that is tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle and motivate you to succeed.
